Mechanical small bowel obstruction a rare complication after aortic valve surgery: Case report

Abstract: Gastrointestinal (GI) complications after cardiac operations are of rare occurrence, but it has a high mortality rate. Mechanical bowel obstruction is even much rarer to occur. Here we are reporting a case of middle-aged male who developed a mechanical bowel obstruction soon after an aortic valve replacement surgery and was timely and successfully diagnosed and managed.
