Guidelines for handling neglected and complicated cases of acute appendicitis: A case series in relation to Nigam’s Scoring System (NSS)

Abstract:

We are presenting here a series of complicated cases of acute appendicitis with International guidelines to handle various situations. Nigam’s scoring system (NSS) as having high accuracy rate and zero negative appendicectomy rate is used here to diagnose the cases of acute appendicitis with complications accurately and treated accordingly. The stress on use of scoring systems is further stressed here.
